About the Owner
I’m Tarin, owner and operator of Iron Grip Services, based in the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
I’ve spent 7 years with the Country Fire Service (CFS), giving me a strong, hands on understanding of fire behaviour, fire protection, and prevention. That experience has shaped how i approach vegetation management - not just clearing land, but doing it in a way that genuinely reduces risk and protects people, property, and assets.
Alongside this, I've worked in traffic control for over 5 years, gaining broad exposure to the civil construction industry. This has given me a solid understanding of site safety, planning, working around active environments, and getting jobs done efficiently without cutting corners.
I started Iron Grip Services to provide cost effective, practical solutions for fire prevention, block clearing, and general property maintenance. A key part of what we do is using our mulching equipment to return material back into the ground - improving soil health, reducing erosion, and encouraging natural regeneration rather than simply removing everything and leaving bare earth behind.
Iron Grip Services is built on hard work, honesty, and doing things properly the first time. Myself and my very friendly, reliable team take pride in treating every property as if it were our own. No matter the size or complexity of the job, we’re always happy to help and find the best solution for your situation.
Iron Grip Services - Strength in Every Job.
our primary equipment
At Iron Grip Services, our primary machine is a 40hp diesel Paddock mini loader fitted with a heavy duty mulching attachment, purpose-built for vegetation management and bushfire preparation where access, safety, and ground care matter.
Its compact tracked design allows us to work in tight access areas, on slopes, and around existing assets while maintaining low ground disturbance compared to larger machinery. This makes it well suited to residential, rural, and bushland environments where careful control and precision are required.
We use this machine for:
Vegetation mulching and fuel-load reduction
Bushfire preparation and asset protection
Track, fence line, and boundary clearing
Site preparation with minimal environmental impact
Safety is a key focus in everything we do. The controlled operation of our mulching setup reduces the need for manual clearing and limits the risks associated with larger equipment. Combined with experienced operation and proper planning, this allows us to deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions on every job.
Why mulching?
Mulching is one of the most effective and environmentally responsible ways to manage vegetation. Instead of removing material from site, vegetation is processed and returned directly back to the ground. This helps to:
Improve soil health by adding organic matter
Retain moisture and protect topsoil
Reduce erosion and weed regrowth
Create a cleaner, more manageable finish
Mulching also plays an important role in bushfire risk reduction, breaking down heavy growth and reducing fuel loads without disturbing the soil or root systems unnecessarily.
By choosing mulching, you’re not just cleaning the land — you’re putting good material back into it, supporting healthier ground while imporving safety around your property.
